Elementary Kids

Halloween Extravaganza

Modelled after the Summer STEM Fair, the Halloween Extravaganza has become a beloved annual event since its inception in 2021. The event typically has 50-100 attendees. Activities in past years have covered subjects such as structural engineering, anatomy, paleontology, robotics, chemistry, and physics.

Summer STEM Fair

Since July 2020, Robogals has been hosting the Summer STEM Fair event at Bowring Park. This engaging initiative caters to elementary school students of all ages, offering an exciting array of four to five STEM (science, technology, engineering, maths) related activities. Participants can engage in hands-on activities, exploring aerodynamics with paper planes and kites, delving into fluid dynamics through water-based experiments, uncovering the mysteries of chemistry with captivating demonstrations, and much more. In 2025, this event attracted over 100 participants.

Highschool Kids

High School Engineering Day

For three consecutive years, Robogals MUN has hosted our High School Engineering Day at the MUN Engineering Building. This event enables female and gender-diverse high school students to explore engineering in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment. It is a day-long event, consisting of several engineering activities and design challenges, as well as a student panel and tours of the primary engineering laboratories. Approximately forty (40) students from St. Johnโ€™s and the surrounding area attend this event.

Engineering One Debugged Series

For the last two years, Robogals MUN has offered both an Engineering Information Session and a Registration Information Session for high school students interested in learning more about Engineering at Memorial University. Both offer the opportunity for high school students to hear about the program, the course registration process, and ask current MUN engineering students their questions about the program. The following link is an article on the feedback received from the students who attended these events.
